2022 Innovative Artist Award

2022 Innovative Artist Award

🌿 Recognition that embraces my artistic journey

Today I want to share some news that fills me with excitement and gratitude: I have received the award for Most Innovative Artist of 2022, presented by The Art of Today.

When I held the award in my hands, I felt a mixture of joy, surprise, and a deep validation of the path I have chosen to follow.

My work was born from a desire to honor nature, to rescue organic materials, to see beauty where others see something common or destined to be forgotten, and to transform it into pieces with soul. From my first experiment with resin and natural elements to the large-format works I exhibit today, I have always worked from intuition, emotion, and a connection with living things. I never imagined that this unique language would go so far or that it would be recognized by an international artistic community.

This award represents many things:
🌱 Perseverance in uncertain times.
🌱 Confidence in a creative process that does not follow traditional rules.
🌱 Deep love for nature as a teacher and companion in creation.

I would like to give special thanks to @theartoftoday.official for this recognition and for supporting artists who explore new paths, new materials, and new forms of expression. Thank you for opening spaces for different voices and trends in contemporary art to take place.

And I also want to thank those who walk with me, from near and far:

those who have purchased a piece, those who have shared my work, those who have written me kind words, those who believe in this project even when I myself doubt.

Every message, every moved glance at a work, every conversation about art and nature, has nourished this path as much as my own hands.

This award does not signify a goal achieved, but rather a powerful reminder:

I am on the path I desire. Creating is my way of being in the world.

And as long as I can continue to do so authentically, it will all have been worth it. I will continue to investigate, dream, experiment, fail, and try again.

I will continue to work with nature in a respectful way, listening to its textures, its forms, and its rhythms. I will continue to defend the idea that art does not only decorate: it heals, connects, and transforms.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being here.

I receive this recognition with a huge smile... and with more desire than ever to continue creating. ✨

With love,

Liliana Castillo Castillo
