I collect pieces from our natural environment that have completed their life cycle and, through a technical process involving resin and coloured pigments, I give them new life. The result is works of art and designer furniture that reveal their own history and essence.

2022 Innovative Artist Award
A recognition that fills my soul
In January 2023, I received news that moved me deeply: I have been recognised as the most innovative artist of 2022 by The Art of Today.
This award represents much more than a professional achievement. It is a reminder of why I chose this path: to create from nature, from the heart and from authenticity.
My job is to reveal the beauty contained in every piece I design.
I conceive art as a tool for transformation and healing. Each creation is a reflection of the beauty hidden in nature, crafted with love, sensitivity, and respect for the environment.
JustMad Art Fair 2021
I had the privilege of participating in JustMad in July 2021, during Madrid's vibrant Art Week, which flourishes alongside the ARCO fair. There, I presented my project Prehistoric Abstract, a series born from the ancestral memory of nature and the search for new forms of expression.
It was a deeply inspiring experience, where my work was able to engage with curious and sensitive viewers, open to the mystery of contemporary art.

Affordable Art Fair Stockholm 2022
In April 2022, I had the privilege of participating, thanks to DArt Gallery, in presenting my new collection of art pieces. It was an encounter where nature, memory, and matter came to life in each work. Seeing my work engage with the public was a gift that strengthened my creative purpose and my connection to this artistic path.
Art and design in the heart of Valencia - Spain 2023
In April 2023, at an event organised by Valencia City Council's Cultural Department, I had the opportunity to present my handcrafted pieces for the home: unique tables created from reclaimed wood and resin, where nature and contemporary design meet.
It was a day full of encounters, inspiration and affection from the public, which reminded me of the importance of continuing to create objects that transform spaces and tell stories through their forms and materials.
Hello, I'm Liliana Castillo
I was born in Venezuela, have lived in Spain for more than two decades, and hold Italian citizenship. My journey across different cultures and landscapes has shaped an artistic vision that understands creation as an act of connection, transformation and respect for life.
Under the name Lilita Design, I develop an artistic practice rooted in reclaimed natural materials, exploring the relationship between nature, memory and identity. My work emerges from a deep fascination with what nature appears to have left behind: fallen wood, autumn leaves, fungi, organic fibres and other elements that have reached the end of their natural life cycle.
I am interested in listening to the stories these materials carry. I collect them, observe them and transform them through slow and mindful processes, preserving their marks, imperfections and the memory of their existence. Through them, I reflect on fragility, resilience and the capacity for renewal that exists within all living things.
My work exists at the intersection of art, design and sustainability. Each piece is unique and arises from a dialogue between human intervention and the spontaneous beauty of nature. Rather than altering the material, I seek to accompany its transformation and reveal what already resides within it.
Social and environmental commitment forms an essential part of my practice. I believe in art as a vehicle for awareness, sensitivity and a deeper connection with the natural world, particularly at a time when this relationship is more necessary than ever.
My creative philosophy is embodied in a phrase that guides both my artistic and personal journey: “Art is my state of being, the world is my home.” From this perspective, each work becomes a bridge between territories, cultures and ways of life, inviting us to view nature not as a resource, but as a presence with which we coexist.
