Work – "Nine Moons"

A visual manifestation of the sacred process of motherhood

This piece consists of nine paintings, each representing a month of pregnancy. Inside, preserved real leaves speak of time, transformation and life developing in silence. Like in the womb, each painting holds an intimate, unique universe full of mystery.

The leaves—symbols of fertility, natural cycles, and renewal—evolve throughout the work, subtly changing their shapes, layers, and tones. Just like pregnancy, no stage is the same as the previous one: everything moves, adapts, and grows. Together, the nine form a visual altar dedicated to the most sacred act: gestating, sustaining, and bringing life.

This work honours the strength, sensitivity, waiting, change and magic of the female body. It is an invitation to contemplate time not as chronology, but as profound evolution.

A tribute to all mothers and the ancestral wisdom of birth.
